Working to improve heath care access for Rural Veterans
Veterans can now receive care at PSN Facilities across the country, rather than through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), if they face wait times in excess of 30 days or have to travel farther than 40 miles from their home to a VA facility with a full-time primary care physician.
Premier Specialty Network providers are authorized to provide primary care, inpatient and outpatient specialty care, and mental health care for eligible veterans outside of the VA. The newly enacted Veterans Access, Choice and Accountability Act provides $10 billion for a temporary program to give non-VA medical care to eligible veterans.
PSN physicians are called to sustain and improve the health of individuals and our communities.
We are committed to a compassionate and just society. Through the Veterans Choice Program, Premier Specialty Network’s facilities can help expand the number of healthcare options for our nation’s veterans, ensuring more timely access to high-quality care.
Out of 9 million veterans enrolled in Veterans Affairs (VA) for healthcare, 3 million live in rural areas. For this reason and many more Premier Specialty Network is a proud provider for the Veterans Choice Act.
